WEST HAVEN  — The Daughters of Mary Village of the Immaculata at St. Mary Catholic Church in West Haven invite women ages 18 or over to participate in its third annual women’s retreat, titled “Joyful in Christ.”

The weekend will begin with a check-in time of 3 p.m. on Friday, June 9 and conclude Sunday, June 11 at noon. Taking place in a campground setting on the parish grounds, it is open to women of all denominations.

Throughout the retreat, the faithful will deepen their knowledge of Christian discipleship through scripturally based presentations focusing on joy. Additionally, times of reflection will be offered through daily Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Nocturnal Adoration with an emphasis on praying for vocations, the recitation of the rosary, as well as other prayer services.

The day’s events will conclude with fireside evening gatherings complete with marshmallow roasting.

Led by Father Gustavo Vidal, pastor of St. Mary Parish, the retreat will be guided by Father Kolbe Missionary of the Immaculata Ann O’Donnell from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
