SALT LAKE CITY — Victor Chavez, 73, died March 17. Chavez was born June 6, 1933, in Lumberton, N.M., to Jose Blas and Melinda Valdez Chavez. He always welcomed and accepted everyone. Our spirits will always be filled with the joy and love he gave us. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
