DRAPER — Juan Diego Catholic High School YES (Young Entrepreneur Students) members have been learning about fair trade and the economic impact of Artisans of the World while exploring fair trade art pieces and jewelry with the mission to provide artisans the opportunities to lift themselves and their communities out of poverty. JDYES purchases and sells fair trade products to help Artisans of the World poverty chain.  Patrick M. Byrne, CEO of Overstock.com coordinated a meeting between JDYES students and members of the Overstock.com Global Business team.

The JDYES team was given the first guided tour of the brand-new Peace Coliseum. Ann Erickson, category merchant manager of Worldstock, along with administrators, were available to answer prepared questions and cover topics the JDYES team was interested in learning more about.
