Pre-Lenten Parish Mission — on Hope and the Incarnation, Monday-Wednesday, Feb. 24-26, 7-8:30 p.m. each evening at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven. Presented by Father Thomas Czeck, OFM Conv., MI National Spiritual Assistant. All are welcome. An additional Mass followed by a potluck reception will occur on Thursday, Feb. 27, for MI members and friends.

Youth Rally — Saturday, March 1, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1040 West 400 South, SLC. For ages 13-18. The rally will focus on the lives of St. Maria Goretti and Jose Sanchez del Rio, and address the canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis scheduled for April 27. Sponsored by the diocesan Blessed Carlo Acutis Apostolate and the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries.

Mardi Gras Fundraiser — hosted by Saint Ann’s Ladies Guild. Saturday, March 1, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the St. Ann Parish gym, 450 East 2100 South, SLC.  Cost: $30/person; includes catered lunch and entertainment. Tickets must be purchased by Feb. 21; they are available at the church after weekend Masses, by contacting the parish office at 801-487-1000, or at saladiesguild@gmail.com.  

“Pilgrimage to the Triduum: Seven Churches and the Easter Vigil Psalms” — Saturday, March 1, 10:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at St. Ambrose Parish’s social hall, 1975 South, 2300 East, SLC. Luke Stager, a Madeleine Choir School teacher, will speak about the historical Roman Seven Churches Pilgrimage. Light refreshments; $10, cash only, at the door.

First Saturday Devotion — Saturday, March 1 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1700 East 9800 South, Sandy beginning with 9 a.m. Mass, followed by rosary, potluck breakfast, guest speaker and discussion on “The Virtue of Hope and how this relates to purity of mind, heart and soul.” All are welcome.

Spaghetti Dinner — Saturday, March 1, 3:30-7:30 p.m. in the St. Joseph the Worker Parish hall, 7405 S. Redwood Rd., West Jordan. $10 adults; $5 children (6 and under); $45 family of five. Tickets sold after all Masses.

Filipino Mass — Sunday, March 2, 3:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1065 East 700 South, SLC. Fr. Carlos R. Guzman, RCJ will preside. All are invited.

40 Days for Life Kick-off — the 40 Days for Life campaign to end abortion through prayer and fasting, peaceful vigils and community outreach will begin with a prayer rally on Tuesday, March 4 at 5:30 p.m. outside Planned Parenthood Metro, 160 South 1000 East, SLC. Eccles Festival Organ Recital — Sunday, March 9, 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. Organist: John Challenger, assistant director of music at Salisbury Cathedral, UK, will perform the festival’s closing recital, presenting works by Jean Alain, Rachel Laurin and Healey Willan. Free and open to the public.

Deadline for CCW Convention Registration — The Council of Catholic Women’s state convention will be Saturday-Sunday, April 26-27 at the Little America Hotel in SLC. The keynote speaker will be Michael Edwards, director of the diocesan Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministries. The Woman of the Year banquet will be April 26. Founder’s Day Concert — Sunday, March 23, 7:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. “Cathedrals and Missions: Music of the Americas” will feature works by Manuel de Zumaya, Juan de Llenas and Juan Gutierrez de Padilla, with the cathedral choir featuring the choristers of The Madeleine Choir School.

Presentation on End-of-Life Care — Dr. Natalie King, MD will present “Navigating Serious Illness and the End of Life for Catholics” on Monday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m. in the great room of St. Olaf Catholic School, 1793 Orchard Dr., Bountiful. Free. All are welcome.
