SALT LAKE CITY — Alfred David Lupus, 70, died May 5, 2013, after a battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Lupus was born on Feb. 8, 1943 in Salt Lake City to Alfred and Isabelle George Lupus. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1968 with a major in geography; that led to a teaching career in middle school. He then sold welding materials for Xergon.

Lupus is survived by wife Carol; sons Jeff (Gloria) and Jason (Noelle); four grandchildren; sisters Lawana (Pat) Clinton, Sharon (Mike) Foley, Kathy (Brent) Reynolds, and Greg (Renae).

Lupus was preceded in death by his parents and sister Colleen.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church.
