OGDEN - Alice Attey Sawaya, 89, died March 22, 2011.
Sawaya was born to John and Sarah Attey in Salt Lake City on Aug. 2, 1921. She married Toffie George Sawaya on June 9, 1951, in the Cathedral of the Madeline in Salt Lake City, and shortly after moved to Ogden, where they raised their family.
She is survived by her husband Toffie; children David Sawaya, San Rafael, Calif., Richard (Jill) Sawaya, Taylorsville, Celia Anne (Doug) Corey, Perry, and Jeanette Sawaya, Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her four sisters Angeline Woodall, Amelia Fors, Jane Eddy and Joan Hashim.
A funeral Mass was held at Saint James Catholic Church. Interment was in Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park.
