SALT LAKE CITY — Alice M. Nak, 86, passed away Aug. 24, 2012.

Nak was born Oct. 7, 1925 in Leeuwarden, Netherlands and married Hilbrand S. Nak on Feb. 28, 1946. In 1948 the couple immigrated to the United States, starting a new life in Salt Lake City.

Nak is survived by husband Hilbrand; children Charles (Connie), Mary Peffer (Brent) and Delila Higham (Steven); eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and brothers Jan, Andries and Hans.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Ann Catholic Church.
