WEST VALLEY CITY — Ann Zoetmulder, 81, died Feb. 20, 2011. Zoetmulder was born in The Netherlands, on June 29,1929, and survived her formative years through the Nazi occupation of The Netherlands during World War II. Although she endured times of great hardship and despair, she always brandished peace, kindness, and love for all. She married her husband of 58 years, Pete Zoetmulder, on June 23, 1952 and soon thereafter they left their homeland and immigrated to America with the goal of starting a family. She was the loving mother of three children, 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She was an employee at the Salt Lake City Police Office, Riverton Elementary, and Balkamp where she received awards for outstanding dedication to her job.
