Novena for Our Lady of Guadalupe — Beginning Dec. 3, each night there will be Mass in Spanish at 6 p.m., followed by a rosary, Benediction and a reception in the gym. On Dec. 11 at midnight there will be Mañanitas, Mass, Benediction and roses. On the last day of the novena, Dec. 12, Mass will be celebrated at noon and 6 p.m. at Saint Francis Xavier Parish, 4501 West 5215 South, Kearns.

Benefit concert — Sunday, Nov. 24, 5 p.m. at the Juan Diego Catholic High School auditorium, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. Benefit concert for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the central Philippines, featuring Dr. Rey P. Road and the Misang Bayan Choir, among others. The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception — has been moved to Monday, Dec. 9 and is not a Holy Day of Obligation this year, although it is the patronal feast of the United States of America. Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Madeleine at 8 a.m., noon (with the Choristers and students of the Madeleine Choir School) and 5:15 p.m.

The Good Samaritan Program — The Cathedral of the Madeleine is in dire need of coats, socks, hats and gloves for the homeless. Items can be delivered Monday-Friday 830 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Cathedral Rectory, 331 East South Temple, SLC.
