Prayer for Vocations: A special 40-hour period of prayer made before the Blessed Sacrament in solemn exposition with a special emphasis for vocations is under way in the Diocese of Salt Lake City. Saint Ann Parish, 450 East 2100 South, SLC will have the devotion Monday-Wednesday, Jan. 26-28. On Monday, the devotion will begin with Mass, a procession and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 5:30 p.m., then continual devotion through Wednesday. Thursday and Friday, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will be from noon to 8 p.m., with Mass at 5:30 p.m. A sign-up sheet is available in the gathering space. 

 

Catholic Business Network Dinner — Tuesday, Jan. 27, 6:30 p.m., at Benvengu Center, St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 Spring Lane, SLC. Dress is business casual; cost is $15. Family Literacy Night — Thursday, Jan. 29,  5-6:30 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament School, 1745 East 9800 South, Sandy. Activities are geared for children 3-13 years of age (grade 8). There will be numerous activities and hands-on projects dealing with the theme of literacy. This is a free event and open to the public. 

Annual Spaghetti Dinner — Saturday, Jan. 31, happy hour 6-7 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 4914 South 2200 West, Taylorsville. Raffles, beverages and desserts. Chamber Night — Judge Memorial CHS Music Program presents its annual Chamber Night on Tuesday, Feb. 3, at 7 p.m. in the music room, 650 South 1100 East. Chamber Night is a recital-style performance in an intimate setting. This event is free and open to the public.

First Friday Mass — with the Catholic Woman’s League. Friday, Feb. 6, 9 a.m.; Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 1040 West, 400 South, SLC. Intention: protection of life from conception to natural death. Cirque du St. Vincent’s Auction — Saturday, Feb. 7, at Saint Vincent de Paul Parish, 1375 E. Spring Lane, SLC. Big Top theme for a night of dinner, drinks and auctions to raise funds for the school. Tickets are $80. RSVP by Feb. 2.
