Oktoberfest — Saturday, Oct. 1 at 9 a.m. at Saint Olaf Catholic Church, 1800 S. Orchard Dr., Bountiful. A variety of international foods along with a beer and wine garden will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Kid games, pony rides, bingo, and a talent show. Tickets for food, beverages and concessions may be purchased by cash and check only. Admission is free.

Mass and Procession of the Lord of Miracles — Saturday, Oct. 1 at 2 p.m., at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 331 E. South Temple, SLC. Mass will be presided by Monsignor Colin F. Bircumshaw, vicar general. After Mass, join us for the procession of our Lord of Miracles together with Our Lady of Clouds and Our Lady of Guadalupe.

An afternoon with the Bishop — Saturday Oct. 1 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 9757 South 1700 East, Sandy. Join the Most Rev. John C. Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City, as he speaks about the issues surrounding immigration, its impact on our faith and our Catholic response to these ideas. Blessing of the Animals — Oct. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 1058 West 400 South, SLC. This Mass is in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi. Following the Mass, Father Lourduraj Gally Gregory, pastor, will bless the animals. All are welcomed to bring your pets to Saint Patrick to be blessed.
