Pastoral Center Closed — The Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center will be closed Monday, Sept. 2, for Labor Day. It will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 8:30 a.m.

25th Anniversary — of Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church dedication. Friday, Sept. 6. Bishop Oscar A. Solis will preside at a 6 p.m. Mass at the church, 210 S. Chapel St., Layton. All are invited.

Harvest Festival — Saturday, Sept. 7, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4050 South 3900 West, West Haven. Includes live entertainment, face painting, vendors, kids’ games and bounce houses, cultural food vendors, and a car show. Free admission. For information, call 801-621-7961.

Fall Festival — Saturday, Sept. 7, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at St. Lawrence Mission Catholic Church, 100 W. Center St., Heber. Enjoy the parish’s famous carne asada, beer garden and live music with Summerfrost and Bala d’ Oro, silent auction, carnival games, craft sale. All proceeds will go to the building of St. Lawrence’s new church.

Enchantment in the Summer Garden — Saturday, Sept. 7 at 5 p.m. at Give Me A Chance Guadalupe Garden, 2913 Grant Ave., Ogden. Charity benefit for Give Me A Chance, a Daughters of Charity Ministry. Parish Dinner/Game Night — Saturday, Sept. 14, for Immaculate Conception Catholic Church  at the Lions Club, 320 Hillcrest St., Copperton.  Doors open at 5 p.m. Dinner from 5:45-6:30 p.m., Games begin at  6:30 p.m.

Parish Game Night — Saturday, Sept. 14, 7 p.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes parish’s social hall, 670 South 1100 East, SLC. Cost is $15 for parish games; dinner $5.

Run for the Nuns — Sunday, Sept. 15, 8 a.m. at the Carmelite monastery, 5714 Holladay Blvd., SLC. The 5K Run/Walk through the neighborhoods surrounding the monastery kicks off the Carmelite Fair; followed by breakfast and medals ceremony. $25 entry fee. Carmelite Fair – Sunday, Sept. 15, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Carmelite Monastery, 5714 Holladay Blvd., SLC. Day includes a 5K Run, golf tournament, live and silent auctions, entertainment and children’s games in support of the cloistered Carmelite nuns who pray for you. Catholics Can Mass — Sunday, Sept. 15, 11 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 4914 South 2200 West, Taylorsville, celebrated by Bishop Oscar Solis. This annual Mass celebrates the many gifts and contributions made by people with disabilities in the diocese. Sponsored by the diocesan Commission for People with Disabilities. Blessing of the New Crucifix — Bishop Oscar A. Solis will celebrate Mass Sept. 15 at St. Catherine of Siena Newman Center, 170 University St., SLC, at 6:30 p.m. and also bless the replica of the Cross of the Stigmata that recently was installed in the chapel.

Level II Training — for those who minister Eucharist to the sick and shut-in. Thursday, Sept. 19, 6-9 p.m. at the Chancery Building, 303 E South Temple, SLC. $15 workshop fee covers materials. Optional distillery tour and whiskey tasting at 5:30 p.m.; $50 additional. The evening will include appetizers, drinks, tapas-style dinner, dessert and programming from Holy Cross Ministries. Help Needed — Saint Joseph’s Villa, 451 Bishop Federal Lane, SLC, is in need of volunteers and liturgical musicians (volunteers) for the 11:30 a.m. Sunday Mass, particularly on the second and fourth week of each month. Volunteers help residents to and from their rooms to attend Mass. Ushers, lectors and Extraordinary Ministers of the Holy Eucharist also are needed. For information, contact Fr.
