Cathedral of the Madeleine Choir Concert — Sunday, Nov. 4, 8 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeline, 309 E. South Temple, SLC.  The choir will share its performance tour program, which will be sung in Florence, Assisi and Rome. Passes required.

Thanksgiving Mass — for the canonization of Archbishop Romero and Pope Paul VI. Monday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. All are invited to join Bishop Solis at the Mass.

School Open House — Wednesday, Nov. 7, 5-6:30 p.m. at Judge Memorial CHS, 650 South 1100 East, SLC. All prospective students and their families are invited; campus tours and meet the students, faculty and administrators. Free.

“Mamma Mia!” — Nov. 8-9, 11, 16-17, fall musical at the Judge Memorial CHS auditorium, 650 South 1100 East, SLC. 7 p.m. each night with 2 p.m. matinee on Nov. 11. Tickets available at the auditorium ticket office beginning 40 minutes before performances: $10 adult; $5 students/senior citizens.

Annual St. Anthony Carnival — Nov. 8-10. Turkey dinner, Thursday, Nov. 8, 4 to 7 p.m. The carnival will be held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 9 and 10, in the Helper Civic Auditorium on Main Street, Helper. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night dinner with enchiladas, tamales, rice and beans, 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Christmas Family Games Party — Friday, Nov. 9, 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Parish’s social center, 514 24th St., Ogden. Games, prizes, raffles and food. Doors open at 6 p.m. Sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council 777.

Advent Retreat — Saturday, Nov. 10, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at St. Ambrose Parish, 1975 South 2300 East, SLC. The retreat will focus on the Eucharist. Opening session by Fr. Joshua Maria, followed by lunch and afternoon session by Fr. Michael Buckley. Tickets are $15. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, Nov. 7. “Remembered Light” — The McDonald Memorial Peace Windows Project: From Rubble to Stained-Glass is open through Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Walker Center, ground floor, 175 S. Main St., SLC. The exhibition of 25 windows and other glass art pieces was inspired by the stained-glass fragments and memories of World War II veteran Fred McDonald. Open Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; free admittance.

Volunteers Needed — Catholic Community Services of Utah (CCS) is in need of volunteers at our St. Vincent de Paul Dining Hall. The property is safe with gated parking and two security guards.
