Novena — June 21 - June 29 from 3 - 8:30 p.m. at the Carmelite Monastery, 5714 Holladay Blvd., SLC. This novena to the Holy Spirit with the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is being offered in conjunction with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Fortnight for Freedom. It is open to anyone who would like to join the Sisters for Eucharistic Adoration to pray for this special intention.

Fr. Shawn Carey visits — Utah Catholic Deaf Community June 30 - July 1, at St. Vincent de Paul Benvegnu Center, 1375 Spring Lane, SLC. Carmelite feast day — Monday, July 16, at 7 p.m. Mass will be offered in the Carmelite Monastery Chapel on the sisters’ patronal feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The Mass will be preceded by the public recitation of the rosary. All are invited to join the sisters to celebrate the feast honoring Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Carmelite Fair donations — Auction items and gift baskets for the 2012 Carmelite Fair are being sought. Tax-deductible donations can be dropped off at the monastery, 5714 Holladay Blvd., Holladay or call the sisters at 801-277-6075 to schedule a pickup. The fair, which will be Sept. 16 this year, is the main source of income in helping the sisters run the monastery.
