Open House for Registration — Monday, March 7 for the incoming class of 2015, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Judge Memorial Catholic High School, 650 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City. Receive placement exam reports, talk with guidance counselors, faculty and staff, and receive information on academics, service, activities, athletics and financial assistance.  Lenten fish fry Magna — Friday, March 18 after Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes, 2840 South 9000 West, Magna. Our Lady of Lourdes Knights of Columbus Council 9731 would like to invite all to our parish. The meal will be served in the parish hall.

Lenten fish fry Draper — March 11, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the St. John the Baptist Multi-purpose Center, 300 East, 11800 South, Draper. Knights of Columbus Council 12181 invites everyone to a fish and chip dinner followed by Stations of the Cross. Tickets will be available at the door. Annual Diocesan Lenten Retreat — Saturday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Saint Thomas More Parish, 3015 East Creek Road, Sandy. Dominican Father Wayne A. Cavalier, Ph.D will be the retreat master for a day of prayer. The theme is "Not as People See Does God See," taken from 1 Samuel 16:7. The retreat is open to all adults and will include morning praise, a catered luncheon and Eucharist. The first 100 people to register will receive a copy of "Not By Bread Alone," daily reflections for Lent by Bishop Robert F. Morneau. Lenten Retreat for mothers, daughers and/or family friend — "The Future Belongs to People of Hope," presented by Benedictine Sister Stephanie Mongeon, Friday, March 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., for girls in 5th through 12th grade, at Mount Benedict Monastery, 6000 South 1075 East, Ogden. Saint John the Baptist Parish Lenten Mission — Holy Cross Father Patrick Hannon will lead a parish mission March 21-23 at 7 p.m. at Saint John the Baptist Parish, 300 East 11800 South, Draper. He will be celebrant and homilist at the weekend Masses March 19 at 5 p.m. and March 20 at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Fr. Hannon is an author and a graduate of the University of Portland, Ore., and currently a professor there in the department of theology. For more information call 801-984-7109. Ministry of Mothers Sharing — Friday-Saturday, March 11-12 at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 725 South 250 East, Hyde Park. The MOMS group will offer a retreat for women Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. beginning with a soup supper, and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon with a continental breakfast. The retreat is open to all women and the cost is $15 per session or $20 for both sessions if paid by March 6. Childcare will be available for a limited number of children. The retreat will be led by Benedictine Sister Paula Hagen from St. Paul’s Monastery in St. Paul. Minn. Her topic is "Mary, Our Lenten Model for Spirituality."  St. Joseph Catholic High School Boosters Mardi Gras — Saturday, March 5, in the SJCHS Black Box Theater, 1790 Lake Street, Ogden.  22nd Annual Leprechaun Lope — Saturday, March 19, with late registration from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The race starts at 9 a.m. Adults are $25, children 14 and under are $15, late registration is $35.  St. Patrick’s Feast Day — Sunday, March 20, at 11:30 a.m. following Divine Liturgy at St. Jude Maronite Catholic Church, 4900 South Wasatch Street (250 East) in Murray. All are invited to an Irish dinner sponsored by the Men’s Club of St. Jude Parish. It will include corn beef and cabbage, beverages, and desserts for a $10 donation for adults and $5 for children. We will watch the movie "Bella" and attend the 7 p.m. Mass and the supper following. The supper is $2. We gather and offer prayers in front of the Women’s Clinic.
