Shower Them with Love — Bank of Utah is hosting its third annual Shower Them with Love donation drive now through July 17; Catholic Community Services of Northern Utah’s St. Martha’s Baby Project is one of the recipients. Take donations to any Bank of Utah location. Items most requested include new newborn-sized clothing, sleepers and onesies, newborn diapers, bibs and burp cloths, formula, baby lotion, powder and wipes.  
 
Open House for Coach Ray Franklin  — Thursday, June 25, 6-8 p.m. at the Black Box Theatre at St. Joseph High School, 1790 Lake St., Ogden. Past and present athletes, students, parents and friends are invited to join to thank Franklin for his 22 years of coaching and commitment to SJCHS. Priestly Ordinations — Friday, June 26, 7-9 p.m. at The Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, SLC. The Most Rev. John C. Wester, Archbishop of Santa Fe, will preside. All are welcome.

St. Joseph High Annual BBQ — The 12th annual St. Joe’s High School BBQ, sponsored by the Alumni Association, will be Friday, June 26 at the school, 1790 Lake St., Ogden. All (alumni & non-alumni, alike) are invited. Something different this year – it’s free. Social hour: 6-7 p.m.; BBQ at 7 p.m. Reservations not required.

Carmelite Barbecue Fundraiser — Saturday, June 27, 6 p.m. at the Carmelite monastery, 5714 S. Holladay Blvd., SLC. Sponsored by the Friends of Sister Mary Joseph and Knights of Columbus Council 602 to help pay for the sisters’ health-care expenses. Cost is $24. RSVP to Tom Catrow, 801-688-3194.
 
Backpack Bonanza Benefit — Saturday, June 27, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Armani’s Lemonade Stand and bake sale, 4237 Riverdale Road, Riverdale, will raise funds for Catholic Community Service’s Backpack Bonanza. Next to Goodwood Barbecue, which will provide pork sandwiches for sale. The lemonade will be from Beans & Brews. Gun Violence Prevention Prayers — June 28, 7:15 a.m., at the southeast corner of the Salt Palace Convention Center, 100 W. Temple, SLC,  the Episcopal General Convention will hold a prayerful procession against gun violence. All are invited to attend. The “Claiming Common Ground Against Gun Violence” service and procession will last about an hour and cover a one-mile route to Pioneer Park and back. The procession will include prayers and a stop for testimony in the park. 

All State Catholic Day at Lagoon — Sunday, July 19 at Lagoon Park, 375 Lagoon Dr, Farmington. Gates open at 11 a.m. No free admission. For the discount rate of $39.94/per person, mention Catholic Day at the ticket window.

Feast of St. Mary Magdalene — The Cathedral of the Madeleine will celebrate the Feast of St. Mary Magdalene, patroness of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, on Wednesday, July 22, with a Mass at 6 p.m. with the Cathedral Choir, followed by the annual parish dinner in the Cathedral plaza, 309 E. South Temple, SLC.

Men’s Retreat — The 5th Annual St. Mary Men’s Retreat will be Aug. 7–9, in Bloomington, Idaho. Cost is $50; includes lodging, food, the study book and other materials. St. Patrick Parish Carnival — Aug. 7, 5-10 p.m., and Aug. 8, 3-10 p.m. at Saint Patrick Parish, 1058 West 400 South, SLC. Food, entertainment, silent auction, games and prizes for adults and kids. For information, contact the parish office, 801-596-7233.

Annual Marian Procession — Sunday, Aug. 16, beginning at 9 a.m. at the St. Mary Old Town Chapel, 121 Park Ave. in Park City, and ending at St. Mary of the Assumption, 1505 W. White Pine Canyon Road. During the three- mile walk on paved ground, participants of all ages recite the rosary and sing songs. The procession culminates with a bilingual Mass about 11:30 a.m. and a reception afterwards in the parish center. All are welcome.

Anniversary Celebration — Saint Florence Mission, 6461 East Highway 39 in Huntsville, will celebrate its 25th anniversary Sept. 13. The mission is under Saint Joseph Parish in Ogden. The celebration will include a Mass, food, entertainment and music by Shades of Gray from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
