Festa Italiana — Italian street festival sponsored by the Italian-American Civic League of Utah. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Catholic Community Services.

Forced to Flee — Thursday, Sept. 27, 5-7:30 p.m. at the Gallivan Center, 239 Main St., SLC. Experience the journey of becoming a refugee, guided by former refugees who have first-hand experience. Sponsored by Catholic Community Services of Utah. Free and open to the public.

Scout Religious Emblems — Now is the time for all Catholic scouts (Girl, Cub, Boy and Venturers) to begin work on their respective religious emblems. Awarding of emblems is tentatively scheduled on Scout Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Cathedral of the Madeleine with Bishop Oscar A. Solis presiding.
