Do you have a disability? — The Diocesan Commission for People with Disabilities is looking for new members. The Commission works with the diocese and parishes to improve access to liturgy and education for Catholics with Disabilities. Children can volunteer — The Joyce Hansen Hall Food Bank in Ogden now has opportunities for families to introduce their children to volunteering. Families with younger children, 5 to 12 years old, can volunteer during family sessions on Thursday afternoons from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and one Saturday a month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. To reserve a spot, contact Cindy at 801-394-5944, ext. 1050 or volunteerccsnu@ccsutah.org.

A SCAP — Sunday Celebration in the Absence of a Priest service will be held in the Zion Park lodge at 8 a.m. every Sunday through October.

Days of Yore — June 17 - 19, Saint Thomas More Parish, 3015 E. Creek Road, Sandy; will be having their annual festival. Opens Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday opens at 10 a.m.

Lector Training — Saturday, June 18, 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at Saint Peter Parish, 634 North 600 East, American Fork. Registration is $7. In addition, all participants will need to have a copy of Guide for Lectors (Liturgy Training Publications). Registration is $7, call the Office of Liturgy, 801- 328-8641 ext. 363, by Wednesday June 15. All parishes are invited to attend.

Women of Afghanistan — Saturday, June 18 from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Cathedral of the Madeleine, 309 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City. The Cathedral of the Madeleine Women’s Society will be collecting clothing for women and children from ages 3-7 and school supplies. Catholic veterans — Catholic War Veterans of the USA must continue its work for God, country and home to face the challenges of this new century. The Archdiocese of the Military Services is looking for Catholic veterans to organize a post and become active to support our Church with Catholic Action Programs that emphasize patriotism for parishioners. Scout Family Campout — Saturday, July 9 at the campground near Lagoon. Both Boy and Girl Scouts and their families are invited to the annual Scout Family Campout. Scouts will earn badges and emblems, as well as enjoy a bonfire, skits, and entertainment. Then, stay for Catholic Day at Lagoon on Sunday. Lagoon Day — Sunday, July 10 is All State Catholic Day at Lagoon, 375 Lagoon Drive, Farmington. The brochure will be valid for up to 8 free Entrance Passports or $14.95 discounts on up to 8 Regular Ride Passports. Mass will begin at noon, activities to follow.

J.E. Cosgriff Toddler Program Enrollment — J.E. Cosgriff Memorial School has open enrollment for the 2-year-old Toddler Program. Classes are offered Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday from 8:20-11 a.m. The Toddler Program allows children to explore and discover developmentally appropriate concepts through guided instruction and play. Youth Ministry — The Office of Youth Ministry will host three summer camps, "Saints and Super-heroes." The Family Camp is July 29-31 at $35 per person. Junior High Camp for students going into grades 7-9 is July 31-Aug. 5; cost is $255. Elementary Camp for students going into grades 4-6 is Aug. 7-10; cost is $195. Along with our usual hikes, crafts and otherwise great Catholic programming, this year youth campers can challenge themselves on the ropes courses at Camp Tuttle. Elementary campers will do the low ropes course while junior high campers can put their teamwork, communication, and courage to the test on the high ropes course.
