Pastoral Center Closed — The Diocese of Salt Lake City Pastoral Center will be closed Thursday through Monday, Dec. 30 – Jan. 3 for the New Year’s holiday. It will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 4, at 8:30 a.m.
Solemnity of Mary, The Holy Mother of God — falls on Saturday, Jan. 1, and therefore it is not a holy day of obligation this year. However, Bishop Oscar A. Respect for the Dignity of Life Day — Saturday, Jan. 29, 9 a.m. – noon, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9757 South 1700 East, Sandy. The event will begin with a bilingual Mass, followed by talks on Catholic Teaching on the Dignity of Human Life by Father Sam Dinsdale, End of Life issues with Dr. Catherine Stokes, and a legislative update by Jean Hill.
