Arthur Lionel Kimball III

SALT LAKE CITY — Arthur L. Kimball III, 72, passed away April 8, 2014. 
Kimball was born Aug. 19, 1941 in Missoula, Mont., to William L. and Dorothy V. Kimball. He graduated from Judge Memorial Catholic High School, and attended the University of Utah. He joined the U.S. Army 19th Special Forces in 1960 and was trained as a medic and light weapons expert. He was actively involved with the Utah Special Forces Chapter LXX, serving as secretary from 2000 to 2002 and president from 2002 to 2006. He served as a Utah State Senator, from 1977 to 1982, and worked as a lobbyist and consultant in the areas of water, health, public and government relations. Kimball was very active politically and was involved in local, state and national issues and campaigns. He was involved with the White City Community, serving as a member of the White City Community Council, White City Water Users, and was vice chair of the White City Water Improvement District, a position he had held since the board was elected in 1995. 
Kimball is survived by wife Sue; children Traci Dean, Rob and Diane Dean, and Kris Kimball, and five grandchildren. 
A funeral Mass was celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
