SALT LAKE CITY — Bennita Gurule, 53, died May 7, of cancer. Gurule was born Dec. 18, in La Puenta, N.M., to Manuel and Vicenta Gurule. Her greatest joy was her children and her grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her best friend, Trisha. She is survived by her parents; her children, Angel (Americo), David (Nancy), and Monica (Andy); brothers, Alonzo, Richard, and Louis; sisters, Enda, Viola, Rachel, and Patricia; five grandchildren, Monique, Anthony, Angelica, Alyssa, and Charlie; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Salt Lake City. Committal was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
