Bishop Solis Blesses New Cross

Bishop Oscar A. Solis blesses the new crucifix at St. Catherine of Siena Newman Center. The only known replica of the Cross of the Stigmata in the world to have been painted as St. Catherine saw it and installed as the main cross of a church, it was hung behind the altar at the Newman Center on Aug. 7. Bishop Solis blessed it during a Mass on Sept. 15, the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
