SANDY — The entire Blessed Sacrament community joined together for the second annual Trunk-or-Treat on Oct. 30. The school/parish parking lot was transformed into a Halloween paradise, with 30 trunks in various shapes and sizes, all decorated for the event. Monsignor Robert Servatius, pastor, and special guest Darth Vader judged the trunks and awarded a pair of Jazz tickets to Nick and Joni Clark for the most festively decorated trunk. The event also included a zombie graveyard that led the way to the indoor haunted hallway. Afterward, everyone was treated to hot chocolate and cookies. More than 300 children attended; the event’s success was due to the combined efforts of the Blessed Sacrament Home & School Association, Knights of Columbus, Council of Catholic Women, Youth Group, Parish Council, Stewardship Committee, and many, many parishioners and school families.
