Carl Marchesi

PROVO — Carl Marchesi, 92, passed away Sept. 24, 2012.

Marchesi was born on Dec. 15, 1919 in Trieste, Italy. He married Maria Stepani in 1947. The couple immigrated to the United States in 1951 with their son George.

Marchesi served for 16 years as an Italian carabinieri (distinguished federal law enforcement), worked for 12 years at the Ironton Steel plant and 22 years at Heckett Engineering. He was a member of Saint Francis Parish and the Knights of Columbus.

Marchesi is survived by his wife; children George, Jim (Jill), Anna Marie and John; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
