Helena, MONT. — Carole Oderman Whipple, 71, passed away Nov. 12, 2013. Whipple was born Feb. 5, 1942 in Great Falls, Mont. to George and Pallida Oderman. She married Frank Hopwood in 1960 and worked at the U.S. West Telephone Company, which transferred her to Salt Lake City, where she eventually retired. Whipple was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Joni Tapp. Whipple is survived by daughters Janet (Brad) Fisher, Janeen (Brad) Eckert, and Julie (Rick) Kump; sister Linda (Jerry) Hoffert; brothers Tommy and John Oderman; five grandsons; six granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Helena Cathedral, Helena, Mont.
