SALT LAKE CITY — Catherine Irene O’Reilly Masse passed away March 11, 2014. Masse was born June 30, 1924 in Ogden, to Michael F. and Elizabeth B. O’Reilly. She married Robert E. Masse Sr. Nov. 17, 1942. She attended Judge Memorial Catholic High School. A devoted Catholic, she was a long-time member of Saint Francis Xavier Parish. She also was a member of the Legion of Mary and an honorary life member of the Women of the Moose. Masse is survived by eight children: Marcy Jacobson, Samantha (Tom) Manseau, Patricia Sowers, John (JoAnn), Lionel Michael Sr., Frank, Robert Jr. and Barbara Masse; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; brother William (Gloria); sister Patricia and sister-in-law Louisa O’Reilly. Masse was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents; brothers; sisters and two grandsons: Allen Jr. and Dannie Jr. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
