SALT LAKE CITY — Catherine Norman, 97, passed away May 31, 2012 at Saint Joseph Villa.

Norman was born in Oakley, Idaho on March 30, 1915, the daughter of Charles Gordon and Mollie Miller Kirkpatrick. She married Oscar B. (Bud) Norman in 1943 and resided in for 27 years in Logan, where she was active at Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish and in the Ladies Golf Group at Logan Golf and Country Club. In 1968 she moved to Salt Lake City, where she was active in Newcomers and Ladies Golf at Four Lakes. Her final years were spent at St. Joseph Villa.

Norman is survived by two sons, William Michael (Liz) Norman and the Rev. John E. Norman; two grandchildren; and brother Robert Kirkpatrick.

Norman was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Dorothy Blalock and Helen Brown; and one brother, Charles.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Magna, where her son is pastor.
