SALT LAKE CITY — Catholic Community Services of Utah (CCS) has acquired a building from Intermountain Health Care (IHC) to house its clinical services, refugee resettlement, and immigration programs, as well as their administrative offices. The building is located at 745 East 300 South in Salt Lake City.

"Co-locating these programs will help the agency provide more efficient and accessible services to CCS clients," said CCS Executive Director Maggie St. Claire. "It will provide professional synergy, and the building’s location near public transportation is a real plus for both clients and staff. Without the support of Intermountain Health Care, this exciting reorganization would not be possible."

According to an IHC official, the building was made available to CCS because of its remarkable programs and commitment to the community.

"I want to thank IHC and its officers and directors for their generous help that allow us to better serve the needs of the most vulnerable members of our community," said Joel Marker, president of the CCS Board of Trustees.

CCS plans to renovate the building and will not move in until the winter of 2007. The agency’s St. Vincent de Paul Resource Center in downtown Salt Lake City and its Joyce Hansen Hall Food Bank in Ogden will remain in their current locations.

CCS is the public service arm of the Diocese of Salt Lake City.
