On Aug. 16, Bishop Oscar A. Solis celebrated a Mass in honor of St. Helena, one of the patrons of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre. Members of the order’s local chapter attended the Mass, which was celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Cottonwood Heights. St. Helena, mother of Emperor Constantine, laid the cornerstone for the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. She died on Aug. 18, which is not only her feast day but also the feast of the Holy Cross.
