SALT LAKE CITY — Charles M. Blair Jr., 84, passed away Jan. 27, 2015.
 Blair  was born Jan. 26, 1931 to Charles M. Blair Sr. and Ethel Kidder in Maysville, Ky. He played softball on the Knights of Columbus team. He married Jane Frances Davis, Dec. 26, 1953, at St. Anthony Parish in Idaho. He was drafted in 1955 assigned to Fort Riley, Kan. Other military service included five years in the Idaho National Guard. Upon discharge he was employed by the Ogden Standard Examiner until 1994, when he retired.
Blair was among the first lectors at Saint James the Just Parish and worked in the first Jingo activities to help in the fundraising for the new church. He served on the Parish Council and was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. He also delivered food donations for the Catholic Community Center for 10 years.
Blair  is survived by wife Jane; children Paul Christopher, Gerianne Marie and George Matthew; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother George and sisters, Gayle Windish, Delores Rivers and Mary Chandler.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. James the Just Catholic Church.
