The Madeleine Choir School’s St. Dunstan Choir, comprised of students in the third and fourth grades, visited the Capitol Hill Senior Living Community each month during this school year as part of the school’s outreach efforts. Their final visit was on May 8. “This is an exceptional example of how we use our musical training to help our senior community members as they age,” said Melanie Malinka, the school’s director of music, in a press release. “Through these monthly visits, our young students see how their singing can directly impact other people and allows senior members of our community to be more visible to our students.”
