Concert at St. Thomas Aquinas

The La Catrina Quartet presented a concert at Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Hyde Park on Feb. 20. Shown are violinists Daniel Vega-Albela and Javier Arias. Not shown are cellist Roberta Arruda and Jorge Martinez, viola. The free concert was sponsored by the Chamber Music Society of Logan as a community outreach event. La Catrina Quartet is in residence at New Mexico State University and tours regularly throughout the United States and Mexico. The quartet presented works by various Mexican composers, presenting introductions to the works in both English and Spanish. A reception to meet the musicians was held immediately following the concert in the parish social hall. The next concert at St. Thomas will be on April 25 and will feature the Utah State University Chamber Singers and other choral groups.
