Speaking of praying for each other, please also remember in your prayers all those being confirmed during this Easter Season. There are many young men and women as well as a good number of adults who are receiving the Holy Spirit through this special sacrament that completes their initiation into the Church. I am most grateful to the Directors of Religious Education and the Confirmation teachers themselves who work so hard to prepare our young people and adults. I always leave the Confirmations with a sense of pride and gratitude because our candidates are so well prepared and have a real enthusiasm about the sacrament they are receiving. I am also grateful to their sponsors who have been such a positive influence in their lives. Also deserving high praise are the parents and families of the confirmation candidates as well as the fellow parishioners whose lives of faith have inspired and edified all those approaching this sacrament.  While it is not always easy to get around to all the parishes in our far flung diocese, I can thank Deacon Lynn Johnson for his invaluable assistance in getting me to the parish safely and then serving as Master of Ceremonies at the Mass. His gentle and competent manner puts everyone at their ease and makes it possible for me to spend time with the priests, staff and families.  Thanks, Lynn, and thanks to all of you who make our Confirmation programs such a success!
