Deacon Johansson certified as chaplain

Deacon Otto Johansson, who is assigned to St. Joseph Villa, received his Clinical Pastoral Education certification July 28 during the Chaplain Graduation Ceremony at the George E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Deacon Johansson was one of 15 graduates who represented various faiths; they completed a one-year program that integrates theology and psychology. Deacon Johansson (far right) is shown receiving his certificate from the Rev. Dr. Esteban Montilla, president of the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy.
