The Diocese of Salt Lake City celebrated leadership in youth and young adult ministry through Catholic scouting with the annual Bishop’s Dinner for Scouters and Clergy on April 21 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Most Rev. John C. Wester, Bishop of Salt Lake City, gave the invocation and welcome. The keynote speaker was Kathi Robertson, a Boy Scout historian with the Great Salt Lake Council; the Boy Scouts in Utah are celebrating their 100th anniversary. Shown are (from right) Erin Stone, chairwoman-elect of Girl Scouts of Utah Board of Directors; and Cathleen Sparrow, CEO of Girl Scouts of Utah, high-fiving Brownies after they blew out the candles on the celebratory cake. Also shown are some of the clergy and Scouting officials who attended the dinner. See more photos on the Intermountain Catholic Facebook page.
