SALT LAKE CITY — Dolores Quinonez, 81, passed away June 13, 2013. Quinonez was born Feb. 25, 1931 in Santa Barbara, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Manuel Quinonez Corral in 1952. She and her husband collaborated with the Catholic Church and Father Gerald Merrill to open La Morena Cafe in the Guadalupe Center, and then opened El Chihuahua restaurant. Quinonez is survived by five children: Dolores (Dee), Victor (Charity), Ana (Bart), Alberto (Bertha) and Harry (Stacey); 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Ann Catholic Church.
