Dominic Barber

SALT LAKE CITY — Dominic "Nick" Barber, "Junior," 75, died March 11 of cancer.

Barber was born Aug. 26, 1931, in Salt Lake City to Dominick Barber and Jennie Madaline. He was the youngest of 14 children. He graduated from West High School, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict. Barber was employed by Asbestos Workers Local 69, and later became their business agent for 15 years. He loved to golf, travel, and was proud of his Italian heritage.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Moore Barber; children, Nick K. Barber, Ryan (Cindy) Barber, and Anamarie (Marvin) Hafford; siblings Florence Oliver, Bob (Darlene) Barber, William (Marge) Barber, Elaine Kitterer, John (Marcia) Barber, sisters-in-law, Sharleen Barber and Mary Barber; grandchildren, McKenna, Gary, and Dominic.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Entombment was at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
