WILLARD — Wilford O. "Doc" Watkins, DDS, 86, died May 28. Watkins was born April 8, 1921, in Snowville, Utah, to Thomas Watkins and Mildred May Carter Watkins. He married Emily Ann Herbst April 1, 1978, in Ogden. He served with honor in the U.S. Navy Coast Guard on the surgeon team during World War II. He practiced dentistry for 40 years, while continuing his life long passion for farming and ranching. He is survived by his wife Emily Ann; children, Chris (Mike) Godinez, Texas, Carol Watkins (Pat), Arizona, Kathy Gilbert, Ogden, John J. Cox, Willard, and Patti (Robert) DeFries, Farr West; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eva Kunz, Roy. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Catholic Church. Interment was in Myers Evergreen Memorial Park.
