SALT LAKE CITY — Elaine Chavez, 54, died March 6, 2013. Chavez was born Oct. 30, 1958. She gave courage a new meaning in her final struggles of life. She made any kitchen proud of the smells and tastes they produced. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Patrick Catholic Church.
