SALT LAKE CITY — Emiliana Laforett, 79, died April 8, 2013. Laforett was born Oct. 25, 1933 in Chamisal, N.M. to Remigio and Ercilia Casaus Cordova. She married Jose Albert Laforett, Nov. 28, 1954. She was a devout member of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church. Laforett is survived by children, Joseph Victor, Larry Lee (Margaret), Patrick Eddie, June (Grant) Reddick, Peter Chris, Patricia (Chris) Montoya, Danny Mark and Conntessah Laforett; 20 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 10 "adopted" grandchildren; siblings Jose A. (Iris) Cordova, Lorraine (Juan) Lopez, Elva (Charlie) Arellano, Josie (Jerry) Garcia, Susan Cordova, Angie Cordova, Dora Duran, and Michael (Diane) Cordova; and daughters-in-law Geraldine, Linda and Yvonne Laforett. Laforett was preceded in death by her husband, parents and three siblings. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church.
