SALT LAKE CITY — Ernest Alires, 67, passed away Dec. 10, 2012. Alires was born in Salt Lake City, on April 8, 1945. He was a disabled Vietnam veteran who served two tours in Vietnam and one in Korea. Alires is survived by his wife, Cheryl Alires; sons Deano and Shane (Heather) Alires; daughters Barbara Brunetti (Joey), Heather Cacciatore (Dave), Rosie and D.D.. Edgeman; brothers David (Marcie) and Gordy (Arlene) Alires; sister Lila Knowles; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Alires was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Pablo and Maria S. Alires, 15 brothers, three sisters and two daughters. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
