Parishioners and friends enjoyed another successful and entertaining Saint George Catholic Thrift Store Fashion Show on Nov. 5, in Father Kuzy Social Hall. Members from the Knights of Columbus served the delicious lunch, and the models looked glamorous dressed in clothing taken from the racks in the Thrift Store. Father Oscar Martin Picos, pastor, looked debonair as he modeled both evening and casual clothing. Father Tai Nguyen, our multi-talented parochial vicar, surprised us by playing several songs on the electronic keyboard and performing magic tricks. Ladies displayed their creative talents by wearing decorated hats, and prizes were awarded for various categories. Tables were set up around the Social Hall with jewelry, clothing and Christmas ornaments for sale. The show raised money for our Building Fund, and we thank Pat Rogers who, along with many volunteers, coordinated this annual affair.
