ROY — Frances Dorothy Guzek Barry, 100, passed away on Sept. 9, 2011. Barry was born April 1, 1911 in Buffalo, NY, the seventh child of Frank Guzek and Eva Ziemba. She was raised in New York and married Joseph J. Barry on Sept. 2, 1935. Barry was a volunteer in Weber County and attended Golden Hours Senior Center as well as South Ogden Senior Center. She loved to play bingo at both centers; she was a member of the Sing-along group at the Golden Hours Senior Center and the sewing group. She was a life member of the Ogden Association of the Blind, which she joined with her niece. She was an active member of the Catholic Church and attended Saint Mary Parish in West Haven, and she loved all the people there. Barry is survived by one sister, Geneveve Krupa of Buffalo NY, and her niece, Irene Osmond of Roy. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Mary Catholic Church.
