SALT LAKE CITY — Genevieve Gallegos, 86, passed away March 17, 2012.

Gallegos was born to Juan Casias and Rosabel Montoya in Mogote, Colo. on Sept. 17, 1925. She married Baldamar Gallegos on Aug. 16, 1943.

Gallegos is survived by her husband; sons Leonard (Marylou), and Andy (Rachel); daughters Sandra Jean (Allen), and Judy (George); sister Sara; brothers Victor and Roger; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and her eldest son, Lawrence.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Patrick Catholic Church.
