SALT LAKE CITY — Helen M. Moore, 94, died Nov. 3, at CHRISTUS Saint Joseph Villa. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Salt Lake City.

Moore was born Aug. 7, 1914, in Treadwell, Alaska, to Albert and Marguerite McQuaid. This world is a better place because of the love and joy she shared with family and friends. Her life was spent in service to her church, the community, and her family, which continued until her death.

She graduated from Judge Memorial Catholic High School and Stevens Henager Business College. She married Kenneth E. Moore Oct. 10, 1940. He died Jan. 5, 1971.

She is survived by her children, Peggy (Lynn) Kershner, Cathy Moore, Susan (Michael) Jackstein, Ken (Alice) Moore, Pat (Gary) Martin, and Tom Moore; grandchildren, Mark (Kelly) Kershner, Christine Kershner, Eric (Lisa) Kershner, Brigitte Jackstien, Stephen Kershner, Matthew (Julie) Martin, Chris Jackstien, Tiffany Martin, Sarah Jackstien, Timothy (Brittany) Martin, and Natalie Martin; eight great-grandchildren, Devrey, Emma, Daniel, Sadie, Avery, Cole, Loren, and Cathleen; her special friend Kelsey Neff and the Neff family; and many nieces, nephews, and neighborhood children.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Committal was in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
