Holy Cross Ministries Autumn Harvest Benefit is planned

Friday, Aug. 07, 2015

PARK CITY — Holy Cross Ministries will host its Autumn Harvest Benefit, “Sowing Seeds of Knowledge,” for the School Readiness and Afterschool programs in Park City.
Sixty-two students graduated from the School Readiness Program during the past school year.
The School Readiness program serves low-income, minority students, many of whom are at-risk and are unable to attend early education programs; they often begin school behind their peers.
Through the program, bilingual teachers help students learn fundamental pre-literacy skills and classroom behavior. In addition, parents learn about the school system, parenting practices, available community resources and how they can support their children’s education.
The Afterschool Program and Summer Camp are enrichment programs that provide additional opportunities for low-income students.
