At the Easter Vigil, “we began the holy Mass with the blessing of the fire and the lighting of the Pascal candle, representing Christ as the light of the world, who rose from the dead to dispel the darkness of sin and evil. Christ rose from the dead to reveal the power of God over death. Light is greater than darkness, and love is stronger than hate,” Bishop Oscar A. Solis said.

Solis said. He also welcomed those who were about to become full members of the Catholic community, saying, “We are happy to have you here with us. We welcome you with great joy; we welcome you with great gladness for your decision to embrace Christ as the risen Lord, your savior, and become part of the Body of Christ, the Catholic Church.”
