In celebration of the Year of Faith, "Magnificat: An Intercultural Marian Celebration" was held in the Juan Diego Catholic High School Auditorium Sept. 8, on the Feast of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Various cultural groups from within the Diocese of Salt Lake City performed native songs and dances to honor Our Lady. The event was directed by Dr. Rey P. Roa, with the help of Father Joseph Frez, pastor of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Parish; and Maria-Cruz Gray, Office of Hispanic Ministries director.
