OGDEN — John (Jack) Mark Iacovelli died Sept. 22, 2015.
Iacovelli was born in Milford, Mass., to Henry and Grace Iacovelli. He grew up in Hopedale, Mass., with a wonderful family and made lifelong friends. He came to Utah to attend Weber State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree and teaching certificate. He made a huge impact on his students and the teachers he worked with at Mount Ogden Jr. High, Saint Joseph Catholic High School, Sandridge Jr. High and Weber State University. His students would say he was one of the best teachers there ever was.
Iacovelli will be greatly missed by his wife, Marcia Parisi; his four children Shaun (Whitney) Iacovelli, Michelle (James) Pool, Marco Keipp and Matthew McFarland, along with their mother and his dear friend, Peggy McFarland; his grandchildren Christian, Conner, Hannah, Chloe, Rua, Isaac, Ryan, Boston, and Mekhi; three brothers Robert (Irene) Iacovelli, Richard Iacovelli and Buzzy (Rima) Iacovelli; and sister Paula (Bruce) Cater. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law Nola Iacovelli.
As his children, we will miss his quick wit, unique personality and spot on (although sometimes unsolicited lol) advice. We could not have wished for a better dad.
Besides being with his wife and family, Iacovelli loved playing pool, bridge and golfing with good friends.
Funeral services were held at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
