SALT LAKE CITY — John Peter Perea Jr, 44, passed away of heart failure Aug. 27, 2011, surrounded by his loved ones at Yuba State Park Reservoir Painted Rock campground, while on an annual family campout. Perea was born on Sept. 14, 1966 in Riverton, Wyo. to John and Leona Perea, the oldest son of five children. Perea is survived by his daughter, Randi (Emmanuel) Godoy; sons Chris (Ciarra), Nick and Noah Perea, his parents, sisters, brothers, and extended family. A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Francis Xavier Parish.
